Robert Gordon, Ian Wilson and Michael Beveridge, directors at Palletforce member JBT Ltd, will tackle the Land's End to John O'Groats cycle ride in aid of three charities.
The directors of the firm, who work at its bases at the Dalcross Industrial Estate in Inverness and Whitehill Industrial Estate in Bathgate, are raising cash for the RNLI, Highlands Hospice and CHAS - a children's cancer charity in Scotland.
So far they have raised more than £2,500 in sponsorship.
"They are local charities that we wanted to support and through our business we use a lot of ferries so we wanted to do something for the RNLI," said Robert.
"We've started doing a few training runs and bike rides, and we are blessed with lots of hills in this area so it is good preparation for the ride as there is 20,000 ft of ascent to cope with.
"I am not particularly fit but I do like to set myself a challenge every year, and every year it has to be bigger than the last."
In 2010 Robert's challenge was the London Marathon which he used to raise £5,500 for the RNLI and in 2011 Robert and Michael completed the First Monster 120km relay duathlon around Loch Ness.
While they are completing the Land's End to John O'Groats race the trio will be cycling around 110 miles every day.
The JBT directors are completing the challenge as part of the Ride Across Britain event in September which will see hundreds of people tackling the route at the same time.
"The JBT guys have set themselves a mammoth challenge but they have the support of our entire network and I know they will give it all they've got," said Palletforce Chief Executive Michael Conroy.
"This is something completely different to the challenges we have done before," said Robert.
"Every year the challenge I've set myself has got bigger and harder, and I'm really not sure how we are going to top this in 2013."
