Maxim Logistics, the Corby-based storage and haulage specialists, have taken delivery of two Freepost curtainsider trailers from Schmitz Cargobull.
The new trailers will operate within the UK delivering palletized loads of raw ingredients for Maxim's clients in the food manufacturing sector.
This is the first time that Maxim has chosen Schmitz Cargobull trailers. Historically the company had always specified product from another leading manufacturer but, as fleet manager, David Ormond, explains, the company felt that the time had come for a change. He comments: "We decided to reassess our trailer fleet and look more closely at what is on the market. The Schmitz Cargobull product impressed us with its build quality and the value for money that it offers."
The curtainsiders, which have been built at Schmitz Cargobull's factory at Harelaw, County Durham, using Schmitz Cargobull patented bolted and galvanized manufacturing technique, are designed to make loading and unloading easier, quicker and safer. With no pillars to locate, the Freepost trailers offer clear side access along the full length of the trailer.
