Dash Logistix received the Palletways UK Newcomer of the Year Award after joining the freight network in February
Dash Logistix has secured a national industry award just months after joining the Palletways UK freight network.
The South West logistics provider was named Newcomer of the Year in recognition of its performance, service and contribution since becoming a member in February.
The company operates from Exeter, Redruth and Plymouth as the logistics division of The Dash Group, which also provides vehicle and retail services.
The award was announced during the annual Palletways UK conference and awards evening at Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire.
Palletways UK managing director Rob Gittins presented the award.
“Dash Logistix has made a real impression having only joined the network in February this year, setting a high standard from day one in terms of input and service,” Mr Gittins said.
“Congratulations on a well-deserved win – we look forward to seeing how Dash Logistix continues to grow and flourish within the network.”
The award follows the launch of Dash Logistix’s new pallet business.
The company recently recruited 16 members of staff to support the operation, including group commercial manager Brian Fisher.
The Dash Group describes itself as a family-grown business combining local knowledge with logistics, vehicle and retail services.
Paul Dash, operations director at The Dash Group, said the company was pleased to receive national recognition so soon after joining the network.
“We’re over the moon to have received this award, especially being so new to the Palletways network and having only just launched our new pallet business,” he said.
“We’re excited to continue our success, delivering top levels of service across the South West and beyond.”
Dash Logistix is among more than 120 independent transport companies operating within the Palletways UK network.
Members share expertise and resources to collect and distribute palletised freight across the country and into European markets.
According to Palletways, its wider group includes more than 450 depots and 20 hub operations.
The network provides freight collection and distribution services across 24 European countries, including the UK.
