Coleman Logistics appoints new Commercial Manager

The UK's leading independent logistics company, Coleman Logistics, has appointed Mark Waldron to the key role of commercial manager.

The move is one of a number of measures the Midlands-based company is taking to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of an ever-changing market.

Mark, who has spent the bulk of his career in the warehouse and distribution sector for retail customers, said: "Since it launched in 1971, Coleman Logistics, formally know as Ralph Coleman International, has continued to grow and develop into new areas, expanding from its origins in fleet vehicles and warehousing into crate and pallet washing for several major supermarket chains.

"For me one of the attractions is that as a family-run business it has strong values and a commitment to looking after customers, while at the same time decisions are made quickly about new developments and how best to meet the competitive challenges."

Mark moves into his new position after 10 years with Logtek, a division of the £1bn LINPAC Group, where he was operational manager. He also spent 11 years with Christian Salvesen. Away from his desk, Mark, who is married with three children, is a keen equestrian.
