Fine food lovers will soon be able to enjoy more of one company's delicious products thanks to Kings Lynn-based Chalcroft Construction.
A leader in providing turnkey solutions for the food manufacturing industry, Chalcroft Construction has begun work on a £1.5m project to build an additional distribution and office centre for Winterbotham Darby, in Wells Place, Redhill, Surrey.
The project involves Chalcroft constructing the new industrial building and external works, including everything from erecting the steel frame to installing roller shutter doors, and from creating the flooring and division walls to fixing the cladding.
One major aspect of the project is the fact that the site is near a railway line, requiring permissions and close liaison to ensure that the works do not disrupt or present a risk to the line.
Chalcroft's contracts manager Matt Goodier commented: "The project itself is quite a complex one because of the site's close proximity to the rail line. It's an added dimension and one that needs careful planning but it's a challenge that is easily overcome by ensuring communication between the whole team."
