Castings Services Group, CSG, doubles its turnover

Castings Services Group (CSG) has more than doubled its' turnover since opening doors in Hortonwood, Telford six months ago. Following strategic investment in new products and expertise, the new process valve and actuation division has increased revenue to £2.1 million, more than twice that of the previous tax year.

CSG is a family run business and has been in operation for 30 years, providing products and services to a wide range of industries including; water, waste water, sewage, industrial, telecoms, highways, power generation, biomass, airports and fire industries.

The factory in Telford focuses on supplying valve and actuator packages to the water and wastewater industries. The business growth has been attributed to a number of developments including: extending the product portfolio to feature new innovative technology, and broadening the service offering to include fitting and commissioning hydraulic, electric and pneumatic actuators.

In addition, CSG have further gained industry credibility by securing the UK's Water Industry Fittings Approval on their range of butterfly valves. This accreditation means that CSG can now supply this product range to potable water applications across all UK water PLCs.

Dave Warner, Divisional Manager commented:

"We are delighted by the new inroads we have been able to make both into the water industry which has been the mainstay of our business, but also in the energy from waste arena.

The EU directive requires 15% of UK energy to come from renewables by 2020; consequently organisations are increasingly under pressure to become more energy efficient. CSG has been able to tap into this growing market, to provide a range of solutions and products to harness energy from waste.

Several of our recent projects with Anglian Water in Basildon, Cliff Quay and Crawley all demonstrate our capability in helping boost sustainability."
