Braby, one of the UK's leading manufacturer of silos, storage tanks and fabrications, have completed a new state of the art breadcrumb facility for the international market leader of food coatings, Witwood Foods.
Two aluminium powder silos, a vacuum conveying system, sieving and metallic separators make up the facility at the Oxfordshire based plant, which was project managed from the foundations upwards by Braby's in-house team of designers and engineers.
Paul Mayer, Braby's Sales and Marketing Director, said: "This was an exciting venture for Braby because we managed the project from concept through to construction, enabling us to use all areas of our expertise." He continues; "With adequate space for an additional 4 silos, we are hoping to work with Witwood on expanding the facility further in the near future."
The facility's innovative vacuum conveying system is designed to keep the flour cool and the plant clean. A constant low flour temperature helps eliminate downstream process issues caused by warm dough; the result of which is a highly efficient 60 minute turnaround from flour to breadcrumbs.
Witwood's Engineering Manager, Dave Black, was highly delighted at the new installation, and
commented: "The entire project was managed incredibly well and Braby's after-care service was impeccable. We are very pleased with the equipment, competitive pricing and professionalism which Braby provided."
