Bott Ltd, the UK's leading manufacturer of workplace and industrial storage solutions, has confirmed its involvement in a ground-breaking land speed record attempt, racing to support The BLOODHOUND Project as a product sponsor.
The BLOODHOUND Super Sonic Car (SSC) is currently situated adjacent to Brunel's SS Great Britain in Bristol, where the vehicle set to exceed the top speed of 1000mph is being assembled. The agreement see's bott supporting the project through the provision of its highly durable workshop storage solutions, which have been installed throughout the car assembly workshops.
bott has provided cupboards, drawer units and workbenching from its bott cubio range for use in the build, fabrication and engineering workshops. Due to the highly sophisticated set up of the project's operations, bott products have been specified to meet the requirements of each engineer, with every individual having their own storage cupboard and workbench for tools and equipment specific to their role.
The BLOODHOUND Project is a World Land Speed Record attempt aiming to inspire young people to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM subjects) by showcasing them in the most exciting way possible - by building a car capable of reaching 1,000 mph.
