Bobcat’s enhanced S76-2 R-Series skid-steer loader made its UK debut at Hillhead 2026
Bobcat has used Hillhead 2026 to give two of its latest loaders their first UK outing, as part of a major display of new compact equipment.
The enhanced S76-2 R-Series skid-steer loader and T650 compact track loader made their UK debuts at the Hillhead exhibition, held from 23 to 25 June.
The biennial event, which is the UK’s largest construction equipment show this year, featured 627 exhibitors, the biggest line-up in its history.
The new loaders formed part of Bobcat’s static display, while E16 and E19 models from the company’s new R2-Series 1-2 tonne mini excavator range were demonstrated throughout the event.
Bobcat also showed models from its telehandler, mini excavator, loader, light compaction and attachment ranges.
The next-generation R-Series skid-steer and compact track loaders have been developed to improve operator experience, performance and reliability.
Bobcat said the updated range offers more choice, greater control and more operator-ready technology across its compact loader portfolio.
The R-Series line-up includes the S66-2, S76-2 and S86-2 skid-steer loaders, alongside the T66-2, T76-2 and T86-2 compact track loaders.
The new T650 Stage V compact track loader has been engineered for regulated markets across Europe, including the UK.
Built at Bobcat’s plant in the Czech Republic, the machine combines the performance of the 600-frame M-Series loader with Stage V emissions compliance, without the need for AdBlue.
It is powered by a 2.4-litre Bobcat engine producing 55kW, or 74hp.
The T650 offers a vertical lift path and a 1,192kg rated operating capacity, making it suitable for truck loading, pallet handling and earthmoving in confined or sensitive sites.
Katinka Kincses, Bobcat product manager for loaders, said the compact track loader sector was particularly important in the UK.
She said: “The compact track loader sector is very important in the UK with the high demand for road maintenance and repair, utilities and infrastructure construction or the laying of fibre optic networks.
“Bobcat is very well positioned thanks to its range of models, including the new R2-Series range and the new enhanced version of the T650.”
Bobcat also highlighted its new R2-Series 1-2 tonne mini excavator range, which includes the E16, E17z, E19 and E20z models.
The machines feature a new SmartFlow load-sensing hydraulic system with a closed-centre, flow-sharing pump and upgraded engine.
According to Bobcat, the system gives smaller machines a level of power-on-demand more commonly associated with larger excavators.
The E17z is a Zero Housing Swing mini excavator with an operating weight of 1,712kg, designed for transport and operation in confined areas, including historic towns and urban environments.
The E19, a conventional model with an operating weight of 1,905kg, is aimed at customers looking for high performance in a compact machine.
Other mini excavators on the stand included the E27z, E50z and E88 models.
The E88 was displayed with Bobcat’s LT120 trencher attachment, part of new auger and trencher attachment ranges compatible with selected mini excavators, loaders and telehandlers.
Bobcat also showed the E19e electric mini excavator, which offers zero-emission and low-noise operation.
The 1.9-tonne electric model has a 3.5-hour battery capacity and can be recharged using a super-fast charger.
The company’s telehandler display included the TL25.60 and the TL43.80HF from Bobcat’s Waste Expert range, which is aimed at material handling in the waste and recycling sectors.
Bobcat also showcased light compaction equipment at Hillhead.
Its light compaction range includes seven product families and 37 models, ranging from 29kg vibratory rammers to 2.6-tonne tandem rollers.
Visitors to the stand were able to see the R68 vibratory rammer and HP65.85 hydrostatic plate.
Bobcat said the Hillhead display reflected the breadth of its compact equipment range across loaders, excavators, telehandlers, attachments and compaction machinery.
