Bobcat has unveiled its most powerful mini-track loader to date, launching the new MT120 at the Paysalia landscaping trade show in Lyon and promising a major leap forward in lifting capacity, reach and performance for professionals working in tight and demanding spaces.

The MT120 is equipped with a 1.2-litre engine without a diesel particulate filter and delivers breakout forces and a tipping load of 1,573 kg, all within a machine just 91 cm wide. Bobcat says the compact dimensions make it ideal for modern worksites where space is increasingly limited, while low ground pressure helps protect turf and finished surfaces. With a lift height of 2.24 m and a reach of 56 cm, the loader is designed to handle a wide variety of landscaping and ground maintenance tasks.

Federico Fernandez-Ayala Novo, Senior Product Manager for GME at Bobcat, said the machine reflects changing industry demands, noting that “between 2010 and 2020, the median lot size for a new home has decreased by almost 18%, and we are supporting workers to adapt to these smaller spaces.” He added: “Our mini track loader can go where other machines can’t.”

Bobcat highlights durability and low running costs as key advantages of the MT120, with maintenance-free components including a DPF-free engine, direct drive system, and maintenance-free rollers and bushings. Its low ground pressure, combined with its lifting strength, is intended to give landscapers confidence when working on delicate lawns or surfaces where heavier machines cannot safely operate.

The MT120 is compatible with more than 20 categories of attachments, covering applications from levelling, seedbed preparation and material handling to fencing, irrigation, tree removal and snow clearing. Fernandez-Ayala Novo said the machine is also easy for newcomers to operate, adding that “the simple controls also help new or seasonal workers quickly become proficient operators.”

Bobcat has been developing mini track loaders since 2002 and continues to expand its range to help contractors work efficiently on increasingly compact sites. The MT120 joins the existing MT100 and forms part of a broader line-up that includes skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, small articulated loaders and compact wheel loaders.

Visitors to Paysalia between 2 and 4 December 2025 can see the MT120 alongside the wider Bobcat landscaping portfolio at booth 4A130, where the E27z and E17z mini-excavators, CT1025 mower and T450 compact track loader will also be showcased.
