New AP 5.4 Gen II and AP 5.6 printers accelerate performance and elevate brands
Avery Dennison Printer Systems Division, the globally recognised industry leader for manufacturing and supply chain printing and labelling solutions, has enhanced its AP Series offering with a new generation of the AP 5.4 and the introduction of a solution with a broader printing capability, the AP 5.6. The AP Series aims to deliver increased efficiency, productivity and improved traceability for goods moving through food or logistics environment.
Avery Dennison's AP Series printing solutions have been the preferred labelling solution for a huge range of organisations. One example is Ekro, the world's largest veal processing company and part of the VanDrie Group. Jos Rouwendaal, Ekro's Meat Processing Manager, explains why Ekro selected the AP Series range: "We are very satisfied with the performance of our current AP 5.4 printers. We selected the Avery Dennison AP Series printers for their print quality, flexibility and reliability and when in the future we need new printers, we will be sure to look at the extra options the new version has to offer."
Improving efficiency within a variety of areas from shipping departments through to box labelling, this new generation of AP Series printers can increase productivity by up to 30%*. This is achieved by enhanced processing power and best-in-class first-label-out-time, enabling a faster turnaround, reducing costs and making company workflows even more efficient.
The Next Generation AP Series features:
Increase productivity by up to 30 percent.
Multi-language capability - global distribution-chain compliance is made even easier with the ability to print labels in many languages.
Ability to rotate a 4-inch side by 6-inch long label, improving return on investment and total cost of ownership costs.
48 percent more printing from each roll, according to the VDC (Venture Data Corporation**), improving productivity for the end-customer.
Increased process efficiency as wear-and-tear on product consumables is reduced.
The need to share information to ensure product availability, consistency and transparency is also key to an efficient supply chain and an increasingly global market place. This flexible printing solution, with enhanced multi-language capability, will easily integrate into existing processes and internal networks across distribution sites in multiple countries. Tim Holland, the Tabletop Product Manager for Avery Dennison Printer Systems Division, elaborated on the features and success of the new AP series: "The new AP 5.x series printers are principally designed to enhance supply chain applications. The printers improve customer's productivity by increasing performance throughput by 30%, these benefits can also easily be applied to distribution sites on a global basis."
Avery Dennison additionally recognised the need in the food and logistics environments for complementary software to enable compliance, product identification and marking. This led to the design and development of Trace-It! in alignment with the latest GS1 Standards and recommendations, such as Databar and 2D Barcode symbologies. This comprehensive software ensures product barcode compatibility throughout the supply chain.
Avery Dennison's consultative approach includes a review of operational processes to deliver specific cost savings. ROI and TCO benefits are achieved by the extension of the versatile AP Series within the product portfolio. Avery Dennison pinpoint where efficiencies can be found, identify processes that can be streamlined, costs that can be reduced and provide comprehensive recommendations to the end-customer. This analysis takes into consideration all aspects of functionality to identify an efficient, complete solution, which helps to reduce costs.
