Amtrak Appoints Development Manager For Major Accounts

Amtrak has appointed Mr Kelly Long to the new position of Major Accounts Development Manager. Kelly, who has been with the UK parcel carrier for nine years, will lead the six person team focusing on large volume and/or multi-site clients.

“We work with the potential clients to understand their whole supply chain so that we are able to offer them bespoke logistics solutions,” explains

Kelly. “Whether offering on-site IT support, flexible collection times or specialist handling systems, our experienced team will make sure our service suits the customer’s precise business needs.”

Amtrak offers tailored services to a wide range of customers, including those shipping high value electronic goods, pharmaceuticals and fine wines or even completed exam papers or tender documents. It is now one of the major players in the home delivery business.

Alan Jones, Amtrak Managing Director, says the appointment of a dedicated development manager for major accounts is one of several initiatives focused on growing the business.

“We have significant experience in working closely with larger customers to tailor our services to meet their needs and we want to expand that list of clients,” he says. “Kelly and his team will ensure that we get the message out to our target market.”
