Access Group (Access) has integrated its Access Delta warehouse management solution (WMS) with financial solution Access Dimensions, giving finance departments the ability to share information and processes with the best-of-breed WMS system. Companies with warehouse operations can now benefit from improved performance and efficiency including; increased traceability of products, the ability to pick the oldest stock first, improved stock receipting and data capture, and the removal of paper pick notes.
Access acquired Delta Software in July and has now delivered integration with Access Dimensions and other financial solutions, allowing users to benefit from finance functions. Stuart Allsopp, chief technology officer at Access, said, "All warehousing activity updates the finance back office quickly and accurately, allowing companies to support fast, accurate customer billing. Goods are received, put away, picked and despatched with ease, improving service, minimising waste and strengthening cashflow."
Access Delta WMS is noted for its unique graphical warehouse inventory map and powerful dashboard management tools that track the warehouse KPIs for supply chain performance. It enables real-time stock traceability and powerful, paperless picking routines. The WMS data it delivers will now be fed into other business processes. "Access Dimensions already uses seamless integration to provide users with a central view of their business. Now, that capability has been extended to warehouse operations. With the warehousing and finance departments integrated the need for rekeying of data is removed and it is easier to trace warehouse operations. The benefits of shared data improve efficiency and provide stakeholders with an improved view of business operations," Stuart Allsopp concluded.
Access acquired Delta Software in July 2012 as part of its strategy to invest in, and expand its software portfolio to provide a complete suite of integrated business management solutions.
