The 17th Annual Conference of the Logistics Research Network (LRN) will take place on 5th-7th September at Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University with the 2012 theme of 'Go for gold - winning the supply chain triathlon: creating social, economic and environmental value'
The Logistics Research Network (LRN) is made up of academics, practitioners and other interested individuals under the broad umbrella of logistics.
Conference Chairman Professor Richard Wilding said: 'As ever, the main objective of the LRN is to facilitate the generation, promotion and dissemination of rigorous logistics research. In this Olympics year we hope to see a variety of winning papers which will describe gold standard supply chain operation supporting the UK's rise from recession.'
The conference accepts papers from a broad base of research and practice in relation to the operation of logistics and supply chains in all sectors. Papers can be of a strategic focus or covering aspects of marketing, logistics and information technology, economics, management and organisational behaviour relevant to logistics and supply chain management.
Papers are invited on completed work and ongoing projects with an emphasis on creating social, economic and/or environmental value. They can be focused on theoretical analyses and/or presenting results from practitioner case studies. Insights from industry provided by leading practitioners are also particularly welcome.
Abstracts should be sent to Dianne Roden, to be received by 12.00hrs on Friday 16th March 2012. Email: lrn2012papers@cranfield.ac.uk. Final papers need to be received by Friday 8th June 2012.
All authors will be informed by Friday 27th April 2012 whether their paper has been accepted. We would advise accepted authors to book and pay for their conference place as soon as possible after this date to avoid disappointment.
