Albis UK Ltd a leading compounder and distributor of thermoplastic materials in Europe re-developed their warehouse facility in Knutsford, Cheshire, installing a comprehensive warehouse management system complete with a bespoke warehouse identification system supplied and installed by ASG Services.
Steve Granger, Warehouse Manager at Albis UK is a strong believer in a safe and user friendly working environment and pays particular attention to his teams wellbeing. Steve commented, "Our people out there, moving material everyday keep this facility safe not just for themselves but also for their colleagues, their attitude towards their place of work is always positive and very encouraging." ASG Services received a call from Steve following the Logistics Link Live exhibition, in reference to the new Rack End Cover which had been launched at the event. Impressed with the concept and safety aspects, Steve also saw the potential to improve the appearance of his racking which prospects and customers pass by as part of their introduction to Albis.
An order was placed for ASG's Rack End Covers, complete with weight load signs, aisle numbering & arrows and the Albis company logo. Hung from the top of racking and fixed along the lengths, the covers are designed reduce the risk of falling items, while improving identification as well as the aesthetics of the warehouse environment.
Tony, MD at ASG Services noted "Albis have used ASG in the past on a number of occasions, for location labels, warehouse signage and floor marking systems at their site. Every time, we've supplied them with the most suitable product and complementary services to meet their needs."
Albis's new Rack End Covers where fitted by an ASG installation team who are specialists when it comes to working in busy warehouse environments. Along with excellent communication with Steve, the installation went ahead and completed as planned.
