As the South African economy continues to prosper and develop, so does the client base of VERLINDE FRANCE, as Partner Company Akhanani Cranes announces that due to growing demand from the mining industry, the company is expanding its service and supply of Verlinde products in Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Both countries are experiencing much needed economic growth, which is leading to an ever greater need for lifting services in commercial and mining projects.
Akhanani has experienced its own considerable growth in the past eighteen months and this latest expansion is in part thanks to the launch of its new product catalogue back in March of this year.
"We are so grateful for the success that we've had and attribute it to our strong commitment to customer relationships and key partnership with Verlinde France," said Arno Dahms, Managing Director of Akhanani Engineering. "Ensuring our clients are properly supported through every stage of a project is something we take very seriously, and it's such great customer service that we believe gives us our competitive edge and USP within the SA territory."
Akhanani is an accredited distributor for the world's premier supplier of hoists and lifting equipment, VERLINDE FRANCE, who are delighted to be supporting Akhanani in their expansion plans. "Verlinde France has been doing business in Africa for decades," said Simon Rothechild, business development manager for Verlinde France. "We have had representation in South Africa for many years and thanks to the expanding economies of many African nations, time is right to make the move into these other areas of Mozambique and Zimbabwe."
These latest expansion plans come straight off the back of Verlinde France's recent expansion into South African province Rustenburg, along with Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya in 2011. Despite the recent upsurge in activity, Verlinde France is not new to Africa, having supplied cranes to Africa for many years and as many of the South African group of nations begin to develop their infrastructure, Verlinde France is well placed to help them grow further.
Working in partnership with companies like Johannesburg based Akhanani, the African market is clearly on the rise for Akhanani and Verlinde France. Industry contributes over £5.8 billion towards Mozambique's gross domestic product, and as aluminium and titanium mining continue to be a large contributing factor, the country has a clear need for sophisticated crane and lifting services.
Commenting on developments in South East Africa, Verlinde France managing director Thomas Descamps said: "Verlinde France recognised that developing African nations would see economic growth, after the turn of the millennia. Both Zimbabwe and Mozambique have established mining industries that continue to develop and Verlinde France is proud to be playing its part in enabling these expanding economies to flourish."
