New forklifts offer ‘intensive care’ for hauliers
February 2008
At the forthcoming Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show (NEC, Birmignham, April 15-17, 2008) leading forklift truck manufacturer and supplier Jungheinrich UK Ltd will demonstrate models from its new VFG 425-435s range of IC engine-powered counterbalanced lift trucks.
Unlike most conventional counterbalanced trucks on the market, the new forklifts feature hydrostatic drive, which makes them particularly suited to highly intensive materials handling operations and applications where a lot of ‘shuttling’ work is involved – such as lorry loading and unloading within a busy logistics environment.
The new trucks also score highly in applications where ramp work is involved or where fast and frequent changes of direction are required - acceleration is quick and direct, while changes in direction are sleek and smooth. As a result, the truck offers high levels of operator comfort and greater productivity.

The new trucks are capable of lifting loads weighing up to 3500 kg up to heights of 7.5 metres and are available in both LPG (TFG) and diesel (DFG) versions.
