In 2008 the Group purchased a brand new 20,000 sq.ft. warehouse in Wigan to substantiate our growth in the north. This building has now become our Innovation Centre where an increasing number of manufacturing processes are being put into production. This has created new jobs for sales, production and warehouse staff.

Managing director, Gwain Paterson, says: "We made the strategic decision to grow the business and now plan to manufacture more components from our Wigan depot.

"The UK insulated glass (IG) manufacturing market relies heavily on imported products which have been subject to massive fluctuations in exchange rates. These fluctuations, coupled with the huge swings in the LME and the overall impact of the recession has meant that IG business has been very uncertain.

"We intend to steadily increase our manufacturing output over the next few years so that we can bring a range of warm edge components that we can offer to the UK market at a steady price."
